New Orleans native DAVID CASTILLO is a performing artist and producer who delivers “impassioned” (Los Angeles Times), “beautifully sung and confidently acted” (Opera News) performances in the U.S. and Europe.
He returns to the LA Phil after performing in the world premieres of War of the Worlds and Theatre of the World, and as a soloist with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Industry, LA Opera, New Orleans Opera, Long Beach Opera, LA Master Chorale, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, American Contemporary Ballet, Luminario Ballet, Mojácar Flamenco, and Off Broadway. He has collaborated with conductors Franz Welser-Möst, Grant Gershon, Reinbert de Leeuw, Christopher Rountree, Marc Lowenstein, and directors Yuval Sharon, James Darrah, Ken Cazan, and Andreas Mitisek. He made his European debut in Paris performing Schubert’s Winterreise with pianist François Chouchan. On screen, he appeared on America’s Got Talent and in commercials for Dyson, Heineken, and PicBot.
