EMMA KINGSBURY (Costume Designer) trained at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). She has designed extensively for ballet and theater, including Pennsylvania Ballet (Phillip Glass: Tilt), Tulsa Ballet (Meðal), Atlanta Ballet (Camino Real), Oregon Ballet Theatre (Terra), and Smuin Ballet, San Fransisco (Oasis). For Pinchgut Opera, Emma has designed Salieri’s Der Rauchfangkehrer and for Sydney Chamber Opera, Bach/Symonds Ich Habe Genug. Other major works include conceptualizing and designing Andy X: The Movie, directed by Jim Sharman, and Atomic: The Musical, New York – Off Broadway. Emma designed The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe which has toured in the UK. Emma was Assistant Designer for Dreamworks Arena Spectacular How To Train Your Dragon and Assistant Costume Designer to Ngila Dickson on NBC/Universal’s Childhood’s End. Most recently, Emma worked on Jane Campion’s mini-series Top of the Lake: China Girl and Legendary Pictures’ Pacific Rim: Uprising.
