JONATHAN DEANS’ work spans from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden to Michael Jackson’s ONE in Las Vegas. His opera credits include a two-year residency at the Royal Opera House, three seasons with LA Opera, and multi-city productions of Nixon in China and Death of Klinghoffer. His theater credits include Waitress, Red Velvet, Invisible Thread, Heart of Robin Hood, Finding Neverland, Kiss Me Kate, Pippin (Tony Nomination), Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, La Cage aux Folles (Tony and Drama Desk Nomination), Young Frankenstein, The Pirate Queen, Lestat, Taboo, Follies, Seussical, Beauty and the Beast, The Music Man, Fosse, Candide, King David, the original production of Ragtime, as well as many West End productions. Off-Broadway he has done A Second Chance at the Public Theater, Carrie (Drama Desk Nomination), Parade (Drama Desk Nomination). His Cirque du Soleil credits include ONE, LOVE, KA, Believe, Viva Elvis, Zumanity, O, Mystere, La Nouba, Wintuk, Ovo, Corteo, and Saltimbanco. Jonathan has designed many sound installations around the world, loves to teach, and acts as consultant for major manufacturers. He has been nominated for and won various awards, such as Drama Desk, Tony, Dora, and Ovation and was presented with the USITT award for Distinguished Career in Sound.
