LOREN LESTER (Quince / Egeus). A native of L.A., Loren began his career as a teenager and has accumulated more than 40 years of film, stage, and television credits. He has appeared in dozens of plays and musicals including Fallen Angels at the Pasadena Playhouse, Gypsy (as Herbie), and The Merry Wives of Windsor (as Dr. Caius). 200 episodes on TV include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Scorpion, I’m Dying Up Here, Parenthood, Bones, The Closer, NCIS, Final Witness, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, Good Luck Charlie, four seasons on The Facts of Life, and three seasons on the HBO hit comedy series Hung. Most recently he was in the new Seth MacFarlane series The Orville. Favorite motion picture roles include the Wes Craven suspense thriller Red Eye. For the last twenty-five years, Loren has also been the voice of “Dick Grayson” as both Robin and Nightwing in various series and films in the animated Batman universe. Loren has directed numerous plays, musicals, and operas, and is an opera critic (schmopera.com). He is a graduate of Occidental College and was trained in the school’s legendary Summer Theatre Program. Having directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream thirty-five years ago, Loren is delighted to be revisiting one of his favorite plays. He is married to singer/actress Kelly Lester and together they have three singer/actress daughters. He is thrilled to be appearing for the first time with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and for the first time at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
