Amsterdam-based singer NORA FISCHER has been developing an adventurous performance practice. Using her voice as a versatile instrument, she performs music from the 16th century up to the numerous compositions that have been written for her today. Nora is passionate about new music and has been working with artists and composers in this scene such as JacobTV, Louis Andriessen, Steve Reich, Michel van der Aa, and the Kronos String Quartet.
In 2014 she made her debut at the prestigious Holland Festival, singing a world premiere composed for her by Calliope Tsoupaki, and staged by Pierre Audi. Her solo concerts were heard all over Europe, India, Indonesia, and beyond. She also collaborated with various theater companies to investigate the meeting points of new music and theater.
